Home at last...

I fell in love with San Francisco the first day I visited, over 20 years ago.  I lived in the City for 16 years; but it wasn't until I loved 20 minutes north to Muir Beach where I truly felt at home.  So here is where we have settled...its remote but we love it.

A calming view...

I do love a lighthouse...this one is on Cape Cod.  I remember when I was young, summering in Falmouth; jumping in the car on a foggy day and driving by the lighthouse in Woodshole with the windows open, along the windy road.  The foghorn was in front of the light house and would nearly blow you off the road if you drove by while it was signaling.  Eventually, the Coast Guard caught on and moved it into the water, on the other side of the road.  I guess to many people suffered some hearing loss....It sure was fun as a kid though!

Where it all started...Falmouth, Cape Cod

The ocean is in my blood, I think.  I was raised on the North Shore of Boston but spent all of my summers on Cape Cod.  Its what I miss most about the East Coast.  I moved to San Francisco many years ago and it really felt like home.  But 2 years ago, I moved just north of the City to Muir Beach, a tiny community of 300, nestled between Muir Woods and the Marin Headlands.  It was here I knew I was finally home again.
